Instructions

Step 1: Download the Easter Egg Mandala Free SVG

Download the SVG file in my free Resource Library HERE. You can get the password for my library by filling out the newsletter form at the bottom of this post.

Save the downloaded zipped folder on your computer. Pay attention to where on your computer the folder downloads and then unzip the folder to extract the contents. The folder and files must be unzipped (extracted) before you can upload the SVG file into your cutting software.

Step 2: Upload the Easter Egg Mandala SVG Cut File

Upload the Easter Egg Mandala FREE SVG Cut File into Cricut Design Space. The SVG will upload grouped together and is sized to produce a mandala that is approximately 8in width x 10in height. If you wish to resize the mandala you may do so by moving your cursor to the edge of the design, grabbing the handle bars that appear and then dragging the handlebars inward or outward to make the design smaller or larger. When resizing the design, take in mind of the intricate cuts. I recommend not resizing the design to less than 8in in height otherwise your machine could have difficulty cutting the file.

There is no need to ungroup the design. When you are ready select Make It in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Check Mat Preview

Once you have selected Make It, a new window will open with your mat preview screen. On this screen you will see that the software has prepared five (5) different layers/mats for the file. Use the scroll bar to the left and scroll through all the layers. Take note of the order of each layer and arrange your mats/card stock to match the order your software has prepared.

Once you have verified the order of your mats, select the continue button at the lower right corner of your screen.

Step 4: Card Stock Cut Settings

After selecting Continue, your next screen will have your material selection menu. For this project, I set my machine to a Custom Setting and chose the Card Stock for Intricate Cut Settings. Due to the intricate cuts of the mandala it is extremely important that you slow down the speed of your blade. If you do not, you will risk your machine shredding your paper!

Check again the order of the mats and make sure that your order matches the software. Use your brayer to secure your card stock to your mats! Load your mat into your machine and then begin your cut.

PRO TIP: When you are ready to remove your card stock from your mat, flip your mat over and peel your mat away from your card stock! Again, this step is very important, because there are small sections of the mandala that can rip if it is removed too abruptly from the mat.

PRO TIP: When you are cutting the design, remember that the more intricate layers will take a much longer time to cut. Have patience.

Step 5: Assemble the Easter Egg Mandala SVG Cut File

That’s it! You finished the cut of the Easter Egg Mandala. Watch this short video of the assembly.
